Archetypes for this campaign: finance bro, female entrepreneur, startup hipster.

It’s hard to visualize the damage done by malware or various scams. Not only is your device compromised, but also it’s an embarrassing experience that can inherently make you question your self-confidence regarding technology. Nobody is safe from cyber-crime and these three characters represent this dynamic. To convey all of this into one single static image, the solution was to literally break the image.

The process of damaging your files.

The result is a digital mosaic of glitches that not only serve as a metaphor for malware, but also superimposes the reality that this can happen to anyone, even computer-literate people.

Master stills.

To drive the point through, a popup is placed on top of the images to emphasize being vigilant. The relatively colourful results of this composition is easily noticeable both on- and offline.

OOH mockups.

Potential concept for video: film and edit a ‘normally scripted clip’, but throughout the video the image slowly starts deteriorating until it abruptly stops with an error message. This could be done by deleting specific types of frames, which would consecutively effect the frames after that. The end result is a collage of digital glitches.
